"Dear NVCC Annandale Community, my name is Hamza Ibn Saleheen, and it is my privilege to serve as your Student Government President this year.
I'm a second year student studying computer science, and when I'm not in class or working on campus initiatives, you'll likely find me on the squash coourt or with my nose in a book.
I ran for this position because I believe in the power of community. NOVA has given me so much -- friendships, opportunities, and a sense of belonging -- and I want every student to experience that same feeling of connection of inclusion. Our campus is home to students from all walks of life and that diversity is what makes us special.
My primary goal as your president is simple: to rebuild and strengthen the sense of community at NOVA where everyone feels welcome and included. This means creating more spaces for students to connect, ensuring every voice is heard, and making our campus a place where you don't just attend classes - you belong.
I encourage you to get involved, share your ideas and help shape the student experience here. Whether you stop by the Student Life Office, attend our meetings, or reach out to me directly, your participation matters. This is your campus, and together, we can make it a place we're all produ to call home.
Let's build something great this year."
