Funding and Budget
SGA Grant Funding for NOVA Gold Tiered Clubs and Organizations is a process that allows recognized student groups to apply for financial support for events, programs, or other club needs.
Here's a breakdown of what you need to be successful in your SGA Grant Funding for Clubs and Organizations Request!
Complete Submission
The Grant Request Form must be filled out in its entirety before submission to the NOVA Office of Student Life at least a week before your SGA Town Hall Presentation.
- Submission Deadline:
Submit the form prior least two weeks before your event date. Please note the NOVA SGA Grant form needs to be submitted to Student Life before your SGA Town Hall presentation.
- NOVA SGA Presentation Requirement:
The form must be presented at a NOVA SGA Town Hall for approval no later than two weeks before the event date.
- Eligibility – NOVA Gold Clubs Only:
Only NOVA Gold Clubs are eligible to submit. All club officers must follow NOVA Student Life requirements, including completion of the required NOVA Student Life Club and Organization training. - Restrictions on Use:
Grant funds may not be used for regular club or organization meetings.
- No Retroactive Requests:
Forms cannot be submitted after an event has occurred. Approved funds must be used within the same semester, or your club will forfeit the funding
- SGA Grant Funding Approved:
Please fill out forms 0715, 0716, and 0720, which need to be submitted to NOVA
Office of Student Life at least 2 weeks prior to your SGA Town Hall Presentation
- If your Club and Organization receive approval from SGA, then you must submit Form 0718 at least two weeks prior to your approved event. Funds must be used within the same semester; otherwise, you will not receive reimbursement.
