Date of event: March 10th, 2026
Venue: the CFH library
There are few things as excting as the arts. It is "a human activity...that one man conciously... hands on to others feelings he has lived through, and that other people are infected by these feelings and also experience them." (Tolstoy, 1897). With Open Mic Night, SGA strives to give the artists of this vast campus that opportunity.
Over a dozen artists conciously made their way to the front of the room in the library. They brought guitars, song instrumentals, poems, and their authenticity to invoke something within either themselves or others. The event was a massive success. Not just in terms of having a vast audience and group of performers, but in terms of the artistic activity, too.
Often times, with events like these, the result is measured by its numerical success. What is truly unique about Open Mic Nights is the testimonies by performers, audience members, and the SGA teams thaty set the events up. To take a look at what the event was like, take a look at the photos below.
The SGA is always proud to bring events like these to the campus and we are so very grateful to all the performers that showed up.
