"NOVAarts" is NOVA's nickname for all of the creative arts programs offered across our five comprehensive campuses located in the Washington D.C. area and online.
As a student in NOVAarts, you will study in rigorous and relevant associate's degree and certificate programs in the visual, performing, and media arts, including: fine arts, graphic design,
interior design, photography & media, music, music recording technology, cinema, and theatre. Our immersive programs include courses taught by expert faculty who emphasize portfolio
development and audition preparation in a supportive and individualized environment to help you prepare for transfer or employment opportunities locally, regionally, nationally, and even
internationally.

Todd Kitchen (b. 1987) is an American composer and audio engineer whose work blends influences from science, technology, and culture. His music has been performed across the U.S. and Europe. He is Associate Professor and Head of Music Recording Technology at Northern Virginia Community College.

Program Head, Interior Design
Abby Lenon is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer and educator with experience in the corporate, healthcare, and higher education sectors. Holding a Master of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University, she is passionate about connecting professional practice with academic learning and mentoring the next generation of interior design professionals through engaging, student-centered education.
