As a NOVA student, you have access to various resources and services that can support your academic and personal goals! This Resources Spotlight post highlights Brainfuse, Library Services, and Rec on Canvas.

For academic support and an opportunity to improve your study skills, we invite you to explore Brainfuse. This is an online platform, an alternative to on-campus tutoring, that offers tutoring support on a variety of topics that includes math, writing, science, and more. You can connect with real tutors and utilize the different skill-building tools. Brainfuse also offers a writing lab in which you can submit papers for feedback. Remember, actual learning takes place when you invest time to study, practice active learning strategies, and be open to being taught through spaces like tutoring. For more information about Brainfuse, please contact Tutoring Services at tutoring@nvcc.edu.

For resources and academic references, we invite you to explore Library Services. Library Services can support your academic success by helping find and access resources to aid your research and studies. You can borrow, renew, and request library materials. On top of accessing materials, students can receive guidance on citation and references. Each campus has a library, and there is an option to reserve study rooms at any of the locations. In addition to the in-person services, there is Ask a Librarian 24/7 Chat where you can submit questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week via live chat. Remember, exploring the library can be an empowering experience leaving you more equipped and knowledgeable with every visit. For more information about Library Services, visit this web page

For wellness, we invite you to explore Rec on Canvas. It is a Canvas course that offers fitness and wellness programs that create an inclusive environment to learn about active and healthy activities, lifestyles, and habits. From virtual yoga and zumba classes to wellness webinars and executive leadership coaching, Rec on Canvas is your go-to to gain information about virtual and on-campus opportunities. You can participate in collegewide fitness challenges and gain access to resources to support your health journey. Remember, taking care of your body, mind, and spirit is essential and your efforts will return benefits tenfold. For more information about Rec on Canvas, please contact Campus Recreation at campusrec@nvcc.edu.

We hope you find these resources and services helpful!
